 Branded a pot and sex addict and adulterer just a month ago, Bill Murray has gained a quickie divorce form his wife of nearly 11 years, Jennfier.receives custody of their four children and  two homes. He gets to kick back and light up a fat joint of Kentucky Bluegrass.

The amazing thing abut this stuff is you can play holes on it in the afternoon, take it home, and just get stoned to the bejeezus at night on this stuff. I’ve got pounds of this stuff.”  

  California’s Emerald Triangle under fire 

Wildfires and DEA raids are causing panic in the Emerald Triangle - California’s Humboldt, Mendocino and Trinity counties. As fires rage in Trintiy and Mendocino, drug agents are swarming in Humboldt, where Operation Southern Sweep began on June 24, targeting 29 large-scale, commercial marijuana operations.

Humboldt outdoor “How fitting that while California burns, the Feds send in the DEA!” says Dale Gieringer of California NORML. “A crackdown of this kind was inevitable, given the public furor over abusive pot growers and Mendocino’s recent anti-pot Measure B initiative, which passed by a narrow margin. However, when the dust clears, the busts will have had minimal effect on the pot market. The net result will be a few more drug prisoners, to be replaced by more growers and dealers. The targets are reported to be large-scale commercial growers, not medical marijuana co-ops. Authorities should be held to their word on this”

California map The logic of sending 450 DEA agents into a fire-ravaged region to clear out a few large grows is mindboggling. The raids are primarily taking place in the southern part of Humboldt County near Mendocino, which is curently battling more than 100 wildfires caused by lightning strikes.

Throughout the state, thre are approximately 840 fires. One of the biggest, the Lime Complex Fire in Trinity Country, has charred more than 4,000 acres.  

The second single from Snoop Dogg’s Ego Trippin’ album is an ode to medical marijuana. The video features Willie Nelson and was partially shot in Amsterdam. “You know I got to have that medicine - prescription medicine, baby,” Snoop raps. “You know, purple, orange, green… The more dedicated, the more medicated… I’m high all day, every day… They say you can’t buy me love, but you damn sure can buy me bud…>
